Discovery Club
Since its inception, the group has steadily grown and has become self-funding. It has been nicknamed the Discovery Club and the children that attend think it is brilliant. One child said that the club was ‘almost too much fun’!
Discovery Club runs every day from Monday to Thursday until 5.15pm. Sessions for the Autumn Term are now available to book on Arbor. There has been a slight increase since last year:
First Child £9.50 per session (£4.75 for Top Up session after Sports Club)
Sibling attending the same session £8.50 (£4.25 for Top Up session after Sports Club)
Please note that all children must be collected by 5.15pm. Any children collected after this time will incur a late fee of £10 per quarter of an hour to cover the costs of the two staff who are legally required to stay.

Charlie Brown's Before and After School Clubs Autumn Term 2025
All clubs are open to children in Year 1 and above. Children in Reception can join older siblings at morning clubs on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Please contact admin@gw.act-academytrust.org if you would like your Reception age child to join a morning club, and we will check with Charlie Brown.
Morning Clubs
All Morning Clubs start week beginning 8th September and cost £3.25 per child per session. Each session runs from 7.40 am and includes Breakfast Club.
Monday - Gymnastics
A chance to use lots of our great gymnastic apparatus, enhance key fundamental movements all whilst having some fun!
Tuesday - Just Dance
A personal favourite of mine, an opportunity to come into school and have a boogie! Super fun, energising and gets the mind in a brilliant place to kickstart the day. Even some teachers join in too!
Wednesday - Wake 'n' Shake
Wake 'n' Shake is a club where we utilise lots of equipment to create a variety of fun exercises to help us get up and go for the day!
Thursday - Benchball & Dodgeball
Two great sports either played in rotation or combined into the famous 'Benchdodge' that we created in school last year. Really good fun and great for agility, balance & coordination.
After School
Monday - Tag Rugby & Basketball
Two popular sports for the first day of the week! An opportunity to carry on the momentum for tag rugby & build on the success from last year, with a chance to build on basketball too!

The ever-present club where we vary between different sports & fun games!

Wednesday - Volleyball & Football
Volleyball was immensely popular within our PE curriculum & previous. A great net & wall game to play indoor & outdoor! Football also in to rotate/have two groups in what should be a fab Wednesday!
14 weeks beginning 10th September (excluding half term week) – Cost £59.50
Thursday - Pickleball & Tennis
Carrying on from the end of the school year, pickleball really rose in popularity at school! With two groups able to rotate between both great sports.

Friday - Quidditch & Tchoukball
Bringing back Quidditch! The real-life version of the Harry Potter sport, it is great fun with a variety of different roles, encouraging tactical acumen & a wide range of technical skills. Tchoukball is a brand-new club, a superb invasion game with 2 rebounder nets, with no set end goal. Creating an environment to enhance decision making at speed, organised chaos at its best & I’m super excited to bring it to the school!
13 weeks beginning 12th September (excluding half term week). Please note there is no club on Friday 19th December – Cost £55.25
